Welcoming new grade six students
The Grade Six admission ceremony was held successfully at Holy Angels Girls’ College on the 21st of January, warmly welcoming the new Grade Six students with love and respect. The Reverent Sister Principal of Holy Angels Girls’ College welcomed the new Grade Six students and their families with a speech. The event featured various items such as student speeches and beautiful dances that kept the stage buzzing with the bright talents of the students. We wish the new Grade Six students a wonderful academic year ahead, filled with many challenges and opportunities, as they continue their educational journey with happiness, joy, and enthusiasm.
Grade 6-11 education is conducted in both English and Sinhala medium. From Grade 6, the students who are willing to learn in English medium should face for a selection test and have to obtain a suitable mark to qualify for the English medium class. There are 4 parallel classes in each grade and one class is conducted in English medium and 3 classes are conducted in Sinhala Medium.
Classroom education is done with new technology experiencing facilities like internet, tabs, PCs, smart boards allocating a favorable time for each class. There are more activities in the school to improve language proficiency of students.
Each student in Grade 6-9 should choose an extra-curricular activity and should participate for that in each Wednesday after school from 1.30-3.00pm. Instead of that, the students can take part in any extracurricular activity, sport or aesthetic programs as their skills and perception.
Grade 10/11 students are encouraged mainly focusing on G.C.E.(O/L) examination. Our school is a leading school in Kuliyapitiya Zone achieving Good results from G.C.E. (O/L) examination in each year.
